On the left is our route. On the right is 9/14ths of ourbunch on the top dining deck.
This is the last part of our
50th anniversary celebration, and it has been
a ball.

On the left is Taku Glacier, which is still growing, as seen
from an Otter float plane.
On the right is a black bear
up in an evergreen tree.
That seems odd, doesn't it?
Ten folks standing around
probably influenced that.
Something really cool is that Al's laptop was getting unmanageable, so it has been reformatted
and as a result it has a fresh operating system and 2/3rds of the hard drive is now free.
He also has far fewer icons on his desktop, which will please a lot of club members.
We came very close to not taking this trip. As we neared Chicago their airport was closed, so we
detoured to Milwaukee. No gate was available, so we parked on the tarmac and refueled.
We requested a bus to take us to Chicago, but couldn't make that work. Fortunately, we had
a 3-hr layover. Then OHaire re-opened, and we made it to Chicago in time to catch our flight.
If we had missed the flight, there was no foreseable way to to catch the trip.
That was exciting!!
